“I Heard About This Badass Tailgate” Home

Sprout and Eric, fresh off a drunken victory, share their insights into the good, the bad, and the ugly from Notre Dame’s game against SDSU. What did they conclude? Golden Tate is the man, Weis needs to man up, and Clausen needs a haircut.

Also, the guys use some (Dan) Devine inspiration to motivate the Irish against Michigan by making a wardrobe change halfway through the show.

Great site, guys! I really enjoyed the show. If you ever decide to put some Notre Dame links up, we ought to link each other. My website is Domer Sports Report at http://www.domersportsreport.blogspot.com.

    Go Irish!

Charlie is actually 3-1 in his openers (beat Pitt, GT and SDSU and lost to GT). I’m pretty much off the Weis bandwagon but am willing to get back on if he can turn this season around. I think a win against UM this weekend will do a lot to get us there. The o-line really needs to step up for this game to be successful.

Either way, the tailgate is going to be intense. See you at poll 13 at the JACC.

That’s right. I forgot we actually (though barely) beat GT two years ago. Still, I’d say his first game of the season each year has been pretty rocky, other than the first. We’re lucky we stopped playing Michigan first every year.

In addition to the O-line, we need Yeatman to be on the line every time they plan on running, assuming Charlie still wants to “pound the ball” this year. Rudolph is just to small for their DEs.

I demand tailgating footage in next week’s episode, and really, footage of you watching the game regardless of where it happens. You have those handy little toy cameras, don’t you?

Adam on September 10th, 2008 at 11:23 am

@Adam Yeah, we were bad about that for the first game. We posted a couple pics to BeenUp2 (which we will be doing live from the tailgate this Saturday as well), but watching Eric and I alienate all of our guests during the game and yelling at them to be quiet didn’t really seem like suitable material for this weeks show.

We’ll have cameras rolling this weekend though.

Jimmy will get his hair cut after he wins his 2nd Heisman trophy.

and do any ND players have blogs? that would be sick

Mike on September 10th, 2008 at 4:59 pm

Trevor Laws has a site: http://www.trevor-laws.com/

As does Samardzija: http://www.jeff-samardzija.com/blog.asp (but he doesn’t update it)

I doubt any current players keep a blog.

My dad just watched it and said he’d recommend some brews. He’s also really sad now because he can’t make the tailgate. See ya there!

Good show boys! I too would like to see some tailgating footage, as I’m sure it’s great TV. No offense to your pal at jupmode, as I’m sure he makes other cool things, however, I am not, I repeat, NOT, N-O-T, a fan of the sweater vest t-shirt. As your Aunt, I advise you, don’t wear that when you go to pick up girls. ; ) Sweater vests make me think of Newheisel and he’s a prick.
