Joining a conference is an awful idea. This is coming from a guy from Michigander living in Ohio (thank god for only 4 more month, but I am an Ignatius supporter. Go Jesuits.)
Keep up the good work boys. Go Wildcats, Go Cubs, Go Irish, F— Michigan.

Re Tailgating: Last time I checked, it was supposed to be 18° on Saturday. At what temperature does beer freeze because I’m sure 18° is pretty damn close.
Looking forward to the weekend and the UConn game. Shoot me an email when you guys figure out when you’re making the trek down.

Not to mention the trash that Gody usually gets to fall wasn’t even close. The guy’s going to get you 25 and 10 a game but it doesn’t help when he’s not going to the line 15 times for freebies and shoots 30% from the field.
The recipe to shutdown ND: No threes and harrass Gody while not putting him on the line
We can’t keep a MAC team from scoring 80 so something needs to change
Dudes…Boise State has only gone to the BCS once. They are always undefeated, but rarely ever go. They get to go to the Humanitarian Bowl. Bad idea. WAC. Geez guys.

The idea here was that you’d have to be in a conference to make the playoffs. If Boise St can go undefeated in the WAC, we could go undefeated in the WAC. Thus, we’d be in the playoffs every year.
Athletically, the Big East is best for Catholic Colleges in all sports except Football. In the Big Ten, ND would be the team to hate (like BC in the southern leaning ACC). Academically, there are some benefits to the Big Ten; however, there will be a big gap in athletes’ admission and graduation requirements. The problem with Independence is scheduling and conference referees. Big East referees killed Willingham and hurt Wise (Pitt, Syracuse, etc). It is better to play on the road with nuetral referees. I read there was a movement to remove referees from the jurisdiction of Conferences. Watch them fight this like an early signing perioid (beach anyone in Cal & Fla.), and penalties for poor graduation rates. It appears status quo is optimum.

Does any one know the official date of the Blue and Gold game? How much do tickets generally cost? Can you buy them at the door? I am a subway alum that grew up in Ohio and Florida and i am now living in California. This will be the first time i will set foot in the house that Rockne built. So if anyone has any answers to these questions please let me know. Thanks!

I don’t know about Urban in a couple of years. I would like him to come in 7 years, and after Charlie has one 1 or 2 Championships himself. Go Charlie! GO IRISH! We are 100% behind you guys. Beat usc!

Tickets for the Blue Gold game are generally cheap…$20 or something like that. You can usually buy them at the local Meijers in S. Bend/Mishawaka.
Speaking of the Blue Gold game, we should meet up for that game. I think it came up in conversation on Saturday…but I had Scotch on the brain. I vaguely remember making the trek from into the game from the parking lot.
