@Jacqueline, does your brother have any stories from the '77 team? What a great time to be on the Irish. The '77 USC-ND Green Jersey Game is one of my favorites to watch over and over again. He probably even knew Dave Huffman, #56, the center for that year's team that we talk about on the show. We credit him and his red elbow pads with the invention of the fist-pump.

We'll be rooting for your son the rest of the year. Hopefully we get to see him on the field soon.

@Jacqueline, #17 is a strong number, (it's been my jersey number for years in multiple sports) and now I'm glad I have another story and person to share it with. Hopefully he gets into a game sometime soon (on special teams or because Jimmy has already thrown for 600 yards or something.)

Either way, he's won our respect.

Thanks for watching.

I have been viewing your show the last couple of weeks. You guys are great... we love subway alum b/c they are more passionate than some of the actual alum.... It's awesome. I noticed that you were wearing my son's # this week on your jersey. He is a walk-on who made the team last spring and was one of the qbs with Jimmy in the Blue/Gold game. He played a decent amount and even completed a pass. He also played special teams. They moved him to a DB and special teams a week before the season, and changed his # from 12 to 17. He's loving life...this has been a dream come true for him. It's what he's been waiting for since he could walk at 9 months old.
There's another walk-on qb with #17 on the team now, so don't get him confused... Nick Lezynski is my son... the smallest kid on the team, but the one with the biggest heart for Notre Dame. We have a long legacy at ND. My grandfather played under Rockne. My bro was on the '77 team, my husband and I met there, my daughter was on the Pom Squad for three years and grad. last year... She lives in Chicago! the list goes on and on... Keep up the good work.. Go Irish

@Ben, see my post up at the top here...we mention why Leahy was left off.

@NDcivil03, tailgating and whiskey are two of our favorite things. We might be floating all over the place but we will do our best to stop by. If you see us wandering aimlessly, tackle Eric, that will get our attention.

You allow O'leary, Davie, Faust, and Willingham on the board, but no Frank Leahy?
