“I’m a PC. I Cheat at Football.” Home

Unsure on how to handle the first loss of the season, Sprout and Eric take to the drink before the show. (Read: 8 beers in 5 minutes) Which may be the reason why this week they discuss such topics as the logic of time travel, Napoleon’s invasion of Prussia, the Ryder Cup and of course, Microsoft’s current ad campaign.

Somewhere in there, they also give their opinion of Notre Dame’s performance against MSU and Laptop-Gate.

the Back to the Future reference was clutch, but did you ever think about the lessons in Tuck Everlasting? …it’s a book, so I know that’ll be an obstacle.

    “…windpants…embarassing.”

“Why is that not wide left?”

Good show guys, and way to pound the Molson. Sprout, is my dad sending tickets out to you?

JoePa on September 23rd, 2008 at 11:46 pm

I could feel your pain…great show, sucky game, decent beer.
    Sprout-about the hat-keep it. Eric-love the jacket-tres chic.
This season is already wearing me down, but thanks for a little chuckle.
Hey-I got to watch the Ryder Cup while listening to the game. Being here in London, it was totally sweet……but I’d have rather had the MSU win.
    Cheers

eff Europe….was classic but not as classic as Tyrone’s image beside the Ryder Cup graphic.

I am going to go hit the showers ala The Crying Game to prepare myself for the humiliation I am about to go through after telling everyone about the “plug” for our site that ended up be a LACK of a plug….oh yeah, right….now you remember and stuff……..no…no….no….just leave it. Lord knows that the show was too full for you to suck up to another website. (insert 2 coughs here)

Ok the back to sane tip, Nice show guys!!

BGN on September 24th, 2008 at 6:05 am

@tesspain: ouch. You’re lucky we are family.

@JoePa: yeah, we should be getting them today at the office. Thanks.

@ peruzzi: Thank you for the fashion approval. It always helps to get a woman’s opinion. And hopefully you walked a little taller in London after the Ryder Cup.

@BGN: our apologies. I blame the Molson.

Sprout on September 24th, 2008 at 6:17 am

@ peruzzi: I hope you cheered as loud as we did when Kim dismantled Sergio. Thanks for the approval from about the Jacket, some of the best $5 I’ve ever spent.

@ tesspain: Can I just borrow your notes from Tuck Everlasting? It’ll be like college all over again.

I also want to apologize for using the wrong date in the Back to the Future reference, it was clearly 1885 not 1785 (must have been the Molson). Although a Back to the Future during the first years of our Independence would probably make for a quality Back to the Future IV…think about it Hollywood.

Eric on September 24th, 2008 at 6:43 am

    I can see it now.

The phrase “Can I get your John Hancock on that” would be forever changed to “Can I get your Marty McFly”.

Sprout on September 24th, 2008 at 6:50 am

Sprout, are you planning on coming by the tgiab.com tailgate? Interestingly, I will be the only tgiab.com member at the tailgate, and none of our college friends will be in. Still, I will be there, and I will have beer. Think about it…

NDgravy on September 24th, 2008 at 6:53 am

Great show men. And great beer selection. Way to represent our Northern neighbors.

dogolfer on September 24th, 2008 at 8:22 am

@NDgravy: as long as we are shotgunning Sparks, then yes. Plus we will be near the Mobile Dome for some “evil burgers.”

I’ll shoot you an email later. I’ve gotten a couple of responses to some other tailgates to hit too.

Sprout on September 24th, 2008 at 10:09 am

ET doesn’t read Elliot’s thoughts. He FEELS Elliot’s FEELINGS.

Where on NDNation were they talking about you? I’m just shocked you haven’t wore pink yet.

Adam on September 24th, 2008 at 2:33 pm

sprout, you could always come to columbus this weekend instead. i’ll even let you wear that jersey. columbus. get excited.

john on September 24th, 2008 at 6:11 pm

Eric, your look is what Mike Brey must have looked like in the 70’s. Sweet jacket and sporting the mock turtleneck. Throw an ND lapel pin on there, and you could coach the basketball team.

JoePa on September 25th, 2008 at 7:20 am

Sprout.. if you are not wearing Eric’s jacket when you come by the Mobile Dome, you will be sufficiently booed. Fair warning.

I have not secured a JACC parking pass. This makes me sad. We will likely be parked with the buses where the Mobile Dome seems shadowed. Come find us. Evil burgers will be waiting.

Stephen (aka Mobile Dome) on September 25th, 2008 at 12:08 pm

Uncle Dave is proud of you guys! “Genius” in his words. I think the show misses the mark due to lack of puking at the end.

Phil on September 25th, 2008 at 12:56 pm

We like to save our puking for game days.

Sprout on September 25th, 2008 at 3:01 pm

@JoePa: Mike Brey wishes he could’ve pulled off that jacket.

Eric on September 25th, 2008 at 5:07 pm

Let me preface this by saying that I have no love nor hate of ND football, however after watching this, I hope Notre Dame loses all of their remaining games so I can watch you guys get drunk and be salty!

I also have a beer recommendation. Sam Adams Light. Why you ask? Because it is brewed at the Old Latrobe Brewing Co. in Latrobe, PA. The same brewery that used to brew Rolling Rock before Anheuser Busch bought the brand and the recipe and moved production to NJ thus killing the origin of Rolling Rock. Now InBev owns AB and Sam Adam’s produces one of the finest light beers in my home town! Karma is a b@#$%!

Great show guys. So great, I put it as my website on this little form I had to fill out to leave the comment. Trippy, right?

LondonDomer on September 26th, 2008 at 10:48 pm

Great site guys!!! I just ran across it while browsing on BGS. (You two remind me of myself and my brother.) You’ve got to keep up with the beer tasting (finishing up the last of my summer beer rith now with a Pyramid Apricot Ale.) You’ve also got to keep this going through the basketball season. That’s some of the best times to keep us going through the tough midwest winters.
By the way…I’ve got to get you a copy of “The Shirt” that my brother and I came up with this year, I think you’ll get a kick out of it. No one was getting it in the General Parking during the Purdue game….I guess I’ll have to upgrade to the south lots for the Pitt game where the die hard fans are.

Thanks for the praise Clutch. We aim to please.

Send us a pic of your shirt. We’d love to see it and we promise we are witty enough to find humor in it.
