1) I agree with you on the shirts because of those cheesy lines come from the fight song. They just move to the next line in the song the next year.

2) I assume you guys are Subway Alumni like me(hence the name of the show). My pops went there, and I'm a huge fan.

3) I think the O line issue should be rated #1 on your list. Armando Allen may not be the second coming, but a good O line would definitely open things up for him.

4) great show and magic hat is the bomb.

Great show, great concept...tons of Subway Alumni out here to connect with..on ND and the Heismann,
my thoughts.

ND will not have a Heismann candidate in the top 3 until the NBC contract is cancelled. Reasoning ?
CBS, ABC and ESPN have no vested interest in promoting a ND guy as these networks cover less than 50% of ND's games...in most years, only one or two games per year. Therefore, the other networks promote Heismann candidates from the teams televised to hype the ratings.

Keep up the great show !!

I went to Wash U in St Louis and Eric is a Loyola Chicago grad. Notre Dame has since sent us both letters apologizing for not letting us in.

I've read that there will be a number of recruits for the game next weekend. Any chance will come away with any commitments?

No, you certainly aren't way off. Cutting is a last resort, but it is a major part of the game.

In scrimmages, the O-line has been forced to hold back, so there have been a lot of tipped passes, sacks, and a stifled running gamed because the D was getting through so easily. So people have voiced concern about this.

But this week, they are letting them go all out, so the improvement in the line should be seen. Essentially, forcing them not to rely on cutting has hopefully made them faster and more mentally aware of things, but cutting is and always will be part of the game.

The offense in it's first scrimmage had a lot of balls batted down. When you cut block while in pass protection your defenders usually don't get that oppurtunity.

I like what you guys do. You guys mentioned that you expect the offensive line to look good when they are allowed to "cut". But, doesn't an lineman have to cut when they are slow to get to a block? Isn't is kind of a last resort? I just think it's not a good idea to assume the o-line will be much better 'cuz they can block low.

Am I way off here?
