Great show guys!! You hit the nail on the head about the Basketball team. I recently discovered your site and I’m extremely impressed with everything on it, especially the intro. Although the highlight is definetly the guy throwing the pass to himself and eating pavement! Hopefully it was only his pride hurt. Can’t wait to see more from Grimes, and Sergio next week! GO IRISH!

No Grimes this week? Taking too much time inserting the subtitles, huh? Your right, his voice was pretty quiet.

By the way, that picture was of Charlie Jr. Wow, I didn’t even notice that C-Dub was sitting there.

Mannix was disappointed to hear his post game interview wasn’t going to make the cut. I told him he you guys instructed him to drink more Scotch in order to make the SAS cut.

The last thing Mannix needs is more scotch.

We’ll link his video up to our YouTube page. And yeah, Grimes will be up next week. Fear not.

Good show guys, I know that Weisgipper would have loved it. He passed away last week after battling a year and a half fight with hodgkins lymphoma.

RIP Weisgipper! You’ll truly be missed.

The Athletic Dept didn’t order enough black shirts for the students just like 2 years ago against Alabama. The reason we were all in green was b/c we weren’t given any black shirts on Saturday. Last year vs. DePaul they actually gave us black shirts and we all wore them. If we were given black shirts, I guarantee we would’ve worn them.

I agree that the rest of the crowd should have worn their free black shirts, but don’t criticize the students for not wearing shirts they didn’t receive.

Right on. Thanks for the clarification.

Tony: We’re sorry to hear about Weisgipper. Give our regards to his family.

Awful uninformed rubbish. Watch the replay on ESPN360. The students were LOUD. There was no announcement of a blackout, and we weren’t given black shirts. Maybe we need better commentators before we can be a top-tier basketball team.

We knew the students were loud. Hell, we said it on the show. We were there, we know how loud they were. We also knew 2 days before the game that it was going to be a blackout, so some kind of announcement was clearly made.

If students weren’t given black shirts then that’s the fault of the administration. Which is then just one more thing that needs to improve before we can be top-tier.

The three-pointer… we live… AND DIE… by it.

JoeQ on January 31st, 2009 at 4:27 pm

Maybe the Irish basketball team should consider this magic hat cap:

“What’s the link between what you drink and think?”

    rudy87 on January 31st, 2009 at 10:34 pm

Irish score 33 points in the first half against Pitt, all from 3 point land.

Brey takes them into halftime with a lead and tells them “Hey guys, the 3 pointer isn’t really working for us, so let’s start taking the rock to the hole.”

    Irish lose.

What the hell is wrong with Brey? Is he really that blind to what’s working? Yeah, yeah, yeah…you live and die by the 3. But I’ll tell you what, if the shots are falling…you jump on board the gravy train and take a ride.

Like Mannix always says, you never turn free Scotch down on game day.
