@ Mike
Way to open up old wounds with the USC game there. Whenever I watch that tape, I stop it right before the 4th down play that SC converts for 70 some odd yards or what have you. Tough to let that game go; don't like to talk about it. My fondest memory of being in that stadium is one that many seem to forget. 1999 against USC when they were down 24-3 in the second half and came back to win 25-24... also in a driving rain storm. Great blog here, guys. I'll be at the UCONN game, hopefully in the snow.

Speaking of game changing calls, how did the refs pick the spot in the 2005 USC game after Leinart fumbled? Clearly, after the hit, he fumbled the ball backwards at least a couple yards where it crossed out of bounds. How did they spot it on the one? If they ruled the play dead by contact and spotted the ball at the one, the clock should have kept running and the game should have been over with no more time outs for USC. If they ruled it a fumble, it should have been placed where it went out of bounds. Am I the only one who saw it this way?

@Clutch, thanks for those pics. There's some good ones in there. And some creepy ones...like of the dude's wedding??

@Mike, the only thing that video officially confirms is that Brooks was a beast. Why can't we get talent like that anymore? But you're right, the angle of that play in there definitely does make it look suspect. I'm sure now-a-days, that would have been reviewed like crazy and probably overturned, but it's hard to really tell from that quality. I'd like to believe his had is under that ball when he hits the ground.

Nice "pre-season" vid!! Buddy of mine that eats, sleeps and makes love on the ND message boards keeps sending me posts and pictures from this guy. I don't know who he is, but he's hanging with the players and getting some pictures of some, as they say in the south, "sons-of-a-bitches". Looks like the ND conditioning program is alive an well.

Check it out...

It's like Ground Hog Day! ND football is just around the corner when Sprout and Eric show up. Can't wait. Great to see you guys back. Just to get everyone going, here's a great ND 2009 Pump Up video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Vq_exyGQyw Is there any better combination than ND highlights set to music from Rudy? Gives you goosebumps EVERY time!

Not really sure what you're talking about. The video above clearly shows it as a catch.

But yeah, I've never really seen a view other than this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzgyoNdKiQA&feature=related

I am a Notre Dame fan since birth (so I don't want to hear anything about sore loser), but has anyone looked really closely at the Reggie Brooks catch in the Snow Bowl. The view in the video I have seen makes me wonder if it might have hit the ground. Anyone have a different video view?
